ANGEL CLAVIJO FROM LOPEZ SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON SCHOOLGIRL IN LONDON

In a case that has shocked the local community, Angel Clavijo, a 43-year-old man from Lopez, has been convicted and sentenced for the heinous sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl. Clavijo-Lopez, whose full name is Angel Huberto Clavijo-Lopez, was sentenced to four years in prison on Thursday, 25 October, at Wood Green Crown Court. The court proceedings revealed that the assault occurred on Saturday, 21 May 2016. According to the court’s findings, Clavijo-Lopez was invited to the victim’s home by her mother, who knew him personally. The mother’s trust in Clavijo-Lopez led her to allow him to stay overnight at their residence. During this stay, while the mother was asleep, Clavijo-Lopez entered the girl’s bedroom without permission. He then proceeded to get into her bed and sexually assaulted her, an act that has caused widespread outrage and concern.

After committing the assault, Clavijo-Lopez left the girl’s room but not before threatening her, warning her that what had happened should remain a secret. This intimidation added a layer of trauma to the young victim, who was only 11 years old at the time.

Clavijo-Lopez was arrested on Thursday, 8 September 2016, in connection with the incident. Following his arrest, he was formally charged on Friday, 5 January 2018. The legal process culminated in his conviction and subsequent sentencing, which reflects the severity of his actions.
