ANDREW AND JASON CLARK FROM BILBOROUGH CONVICTED OF HORRIFIC SEXUAL ABUSE IN NOTTINGHAM

In a disturbing case that has shocked the Nottingham community, two brothers from Bilborough, Andrew Clark and Jason Clark, have been convicted of a long-standing and heinous series of sexual offenses spanning over a quarter of a century. The crimes, which involved the abuse and assault of eight children, have brought to light a pattern of predatory behavior that persisted for more than 25 years, causing immense trauma to the victims involved.

Andrew Clark, aged 38 and formerly residing on Denewood Crescent in Bilborough, was found guilty of abusing six vulnerable children during this extensive period. His actions included multiple counts of sexual assault, indecent assault, attempted rape, and rape, targeting both male and female victims under the age of 16. The severity and duration of his crimes underscore a disturbing breach of trust and safety within the community.

Jason Clark, the younger brother aged 35 and also formerly of Denewood Crescent, Bilborough, was convicted of sexual offenses against two children. His crimes occurred concurrently with those of his brother, further compounding the gravity of the case. Jason was found guilty of several counts of indecent assault of a female under 14 and multiple counts of rape involving a female under 16. The brothers' criminal activities included joint rape of a child under 16 on two separate occasions, highlighting a disturbing level of collusion in their offending behavior.

The case was brought to a close after a detailed three-and-a-half-week trial at Nottingham Crown Court. The jury, after careful deliberation, returned guilty verdicts on a total of 21 counts of sexual assault and abuse against the brothers. Following their convictions, both Andrew and Jason Clark were remanded into custody. Their sentencing is scheduled to take place at Nottingham Crown Court on 26 November 2021.
