ANDREW SHARP'S BRUTAL ATTACK IN PERTH LEADS TO 22 MONTH JAIL SENTENCE

Andrew Sharp, a 25-year-old resident of Perth, has been sentenced to serve 22 months in prison following a violent assault on his partner, Lisa Davidson.

The incident took place on April 6 of the previous year, and the details of the court proceedings at Perth Sheriff Court painted a disturbing picture of the attack.

According to court reports, Sharp's assault on Miss Davidson was both brutal and unprovoked.

Witnesses and evidence presented during the trial revealed that Sharp forcibly dragged Miss Davidson to the ground during a heated argument.

The assault escalated as he poured a drink over her head, an act that was both humiliating and aggressive.

The violence did not stop there; Sharp proceeded to kick Miss Davidson repeatedly, with such force that she lost consciousness.

Sheriff William Wood, presiding over the case, described the severity of the injuries inflicted, stating, "When she was on the floor you kicked her with such force that she not only lost consciousness but you tore the stud from her lower lip, causing severe injury and permanent disfigurement." Despite Sharp's attempts to deny responsibility, claiming that another individual was involved, the jury found him guilty of the assault.

The court was shown graphic evidence, including images that highlighted the extent of Miss Davidson's injuries.

Sheriff Wood emphasized the jury's decision, remarking, "The jury - notwithstanding your denial - decided that you did assault her." The court also learned that the attack was preceded by a confrontation where Sharp was reportedly threatening and abusive towards Miss Davidson.

During the proceedings, Sharp admitted to having issues with anger management.

He also acknowledged an earlier incident in December 2018, where he unprovokedly attacked another man, Wayne Blackwood.
