JERSEY MAN JAILED FOR 'DELIBERATE AND NASTY' ASSAULT
Andrew Scott Page, aged 45, was found guilty by the Royal Court of a serious criminal assault against a woman at a residence in Jersey in December 2022.
On Thursday, he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for the attack, which was described as deliberate and malicious.
He was also imposed a seven-year domestic abuse protection order.
In addition to the assault, Page received a two-month sentence related to a theft at a jewelry store in May 2023.
These facts were confirmed by Jersey Police, with Detective Constable Verity Thomas from the Public Protection Unit stating that such conduct should not be tolerated and affirming that offenders will be brought to justice.
She also encouraged victims of abuse to come forward and report incidents to the authorities.
The court’s ruling underscores the severity of the crime, which took place at a domestic residence.
