According to court reports, the most recent incident took place at Kane's residence in Clydebank on October 3. The victim, a woman aged 20, was asleep when she was unexpectedly awakened to find Kane engaging in sexual activity with her. She had no prior indication of his intentions and was reportedly caught off guard. Upon awakening, she protested, explaining that she had been sleeping, but Kane responded with a chilling remark: “That is not the first time someone has told me that.” This statement alludes to a troubling history of similar conduct.

The court proceedings revealed that Kane's pattern of offending was not isolated. On February 23, 2020, he was present at a house in Glasgow’s Drumchapel area. During that incident, he lay beside a different woman, who was also asleep at the time. Both appeared to be resting peacefully, but the situation took a sinister turn when the woman awoke to find her trousers pulled down and Kane in a compromising position. She confronted him, but Kane quickly left the scene, leaving her distressed and crying.

Authorities acted swiftly following this second incident. Kane was arrested the very next day and appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on February 25, where he faced charges of rape.
