ANDREW JOHNSON FROM CLEETHORPES SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES

A resident of Cleethorpes, Andrew Johnson, has been subjected to a series of legal penalties after being found guilty of possessing and creating indecent images of children. The 29-year-old man admitted to a range of offences that occurred over a period stretching from July 2012 to June 2014.

The investigation was initiated after authorities received intelligence from the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, which led to a search of Johnson’s residence. During this search, law enforcement officials uncovered more than 100 illegal images depicting children aged between four and eight years old. These images were part of a disturbing collection that had been accumulated over several years, highlighting a long-standing pattern of offending behavior.

In court, Johnson expressed remorse for his actions and demonstrated no prior criminal record, which was taken into consideration during sentencing. The judge imposed a comprehensive set of measures aimed at preventing future offenses and addressing the underlying issues. These included a five-year sexual harm prevention order, which restricts Johnson’s activities and access to certain online content, as well as mandatory registration as a sex offender.

Additionally, Johnson was ordered to participate in a specialized treatment program designed to help him understand and modify his behavior. The court emphasized the seriousness of the case, noting that the images had a long history, dating back several years, and underscoring the importance of ongoing monitoring and intervention to protect the community.
