ANDREW BAYLISS FROM NORTH WOOTTON JAILED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES

A man from North Wootton, Andrew Bayliss, has been sentenced to a 10-month prison term after being found guilty of possessing a large collection of indecent images depicting children. The 31-year-old, who was previously employed at Hethersett Academy, faced serious charges related to the possession and distribution of these illicit materials. In addition to his prison sentence, Bayliss has been ordered to register as a sex offender for the next ten years, a measure that underscores the severity of his crimes.

Details presented in court revealed that the images, which Bayliss downloaded from the internet, included extremely graphic and disturbing content involving children as young as two years old. The investigation was initiated after Facebook reported suspicious activity, specifically when Bayliss sent an explicit image to his partner. This prompted authorities to conduct a thorough search of his devices, where they uncovered nearly 700 indecent images, a significant and troubling collection.

The judge overseeing the case made it clear that the possession of such material is taken very seriously by the justice system.
