ALISTER DYSON FROM PRESTON JAILED FOR SEX OFFENDER RULE VIOLATION IN LATEST CRACKDOWN
Alister Dyson, a man with no fixed address but previously residing in Preston and Morecambe, has been sentenced to prison after he was found to have violated multiple conditions of his legal obligations as a registered sex offender.Dyson, aged 39, was taken into custody following his breach of the Sex Offender Notification Requirements and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that had been imposed upon him to safeguard the community.
Dyson's violations were serious and deliberate.
He failed to notify the authorities of his current address, a requirement that is crucial for monitoring registered sex offenders and ensuring community safety.
Additionally, he engaged in unsupervised contact with a child, which was explicitly prohibited under the terms of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
These breaches not only flouted legal obligations but also posed significant risks to public safety.
The case was heard at Preston Crown Court, where Dyson was sentenced to a total of 22 months in prison.
The court's decision underscores the importance of strict compliance with orders designed to prevent harm and protect vulnerable members of society.
Commenting on the case, Police Offender Manager Adam Weaver, who oversees offenders in the West Division, expressed his firm stance on such violations.
He stated, “Dyson blatantly and deliberately ignored the requirements set to protect the community, and I welcome the custodial sentence received.
We monitor registered sex offenders in the community and won’t hesitate to put them back before the court should they fail to comply with the lawful orders imposed upon them.” This case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to ensure that individuals under supervision adhere strictly to their legal obligations, and it serves as a reminder of the serious consequences faced by those who breach these conditions in the interest of community safety.
