North East domestic violence offender Alexander Hindmarsh jailed for four years

NORTH EAST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OFFENDER ALEXANDER HINDMARSH JAILED FOR FOUR YEARS

A domestic abuse thug was caught on camera when a brave child recorded him attacking his partner.

A jealous and violent man named Alexander Hindmarsh, who has 25 previous convictions, flew into a jealous rage and started assaulting the woman despite the presence of children at the scene.

The incident was recorded by a child who was present, and the footage was played in court.

Hindmarsh admitted to the attack, which left the woman with cuts to her forehead and foot and blood around her mouth.

Despite being released on bail with conditions not to contact the woman, Hindmarsh breached this and attacked her again after climbing through a window while he was wanted on a warrant.

An attack lasting around 90 minutes involved Hindmarsh chasing his victim, pulling her by the hair, strangling her, smashing a glass bottle, and threatening her with it.

The court heard that the attack came to an end only when relatives arrived.

Hindmarsh of no fixed address pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, strangulation, and threatening with an offensive weapon, and was sentenced to four years in prison at Newcastle Crown Court.
