ALEX MILTON FROM KEITH SENTENCED AFTER BRUTAL ABUSE IN KEITH

Alex Milton, a man residing in Keith, has been convicted and sentenced for a series of severe abusive acts committed against his partner over a period spanning from May to December 2023. The disturbing case was brought to light through court proceedings, revealing a pattern of violence, threats, and intimidation that left the victim in a state of constant fear and physical harm.

According to court reports, Milton repeatedly threatened to kill his partner, explicitly detailing how he would dispose of her body. These threats were not isolated incidents but part of a broader pattern of physical and emotional abuse. Throughout their relationship, Milton engaged in violent assaults, including strangulation, slapping, and biting, which caused significant physical injuries to his partner. He also made horrifying threats against their pet dog, vowing to slit its throat, adding a layer of cruelty to his behavior.

The court heard about a particularly distressing incident that occurred after Milton arrived home intoxicated following an early departure from a social gathering. Upon returning, he accused his partner of making a scene and blamed her for the situation, saying, “It’s all your fault.” During an argument that ensued, Milton threatened her life, stating that he would kill her and describing how he would handle her body. The victim attempted to record these threats on her phone in an effort to document his behavior.

In a violent outburst, Milton dragged her from the bed, choked her, and slapped her across the face. He also bit her cheek and ear, ripping out her earring in the process. The following day, fearing further violence, she was compelled to buy makeup to conceal the bruises before they could see anyone outside their home. Her fear of leaving was driven by the belief that if she tried to distance herself or improve her behavior, the abuse might escalate. Despite her efforts to avoid provoking him, Milton’s violent tendencies persisted. He continued to threaten her, including the threat to slit their dog’s throat, and on one occasion, he broke into the kitchen, barricading the door with a chair, choking her again, and threatening her with a glass bottle.

His violence culminated in a brutal attack where he bit her lip so forcefully that she felt his teeth go through her skin. The victim was later found with dried blood on her face, a laceration to her cheek, and a puncture wound to her lip. Following this incident, police intervened and arrested Milton. He was subsequently sentenced to 18 months in jail for engaging in a course of abusive behavior. Additionally, a non-harassment order was issued against him, prohibiting any contact with the victim for a period of five years, aiming to protect her from further harm.
