ALAN RADCLIFFE'S SHOCKING BREACH IN PERTH AND KINROSS: SEX OFFENDER'S SECRET SLEEPOVERS AND COURT ORDER VIOLATION
A serious breach of legal obligations has come to light involving Alan Radcliffe, a known sex offender with a troubling criminal history rooted in Perth.Radcliffe, aged 40, who was previously convicted in 2014 for multiple serious offenses including rape and assault, has once again demonstrated a reckless disregard for the law and public safety.
Radcliffe’s criminal past is marked by heinous acts committed in Perth and Stirlingshire, which led to his imprisonment.
His previous convictions include raping women and making threats, with authorities describing him as a dangerous and manipulative individual.
After serving part of his sentence, Radcliffe was released from HMP Perth on June 24, 2022, and was required to adhere to strict sexual offender notification requirements.
On the very same day, he registered at Perth police station, confirming his compliance with the conditions imposed upon him.
However, the situation took a troubling turn when Radcliffe was found to have violated these conditions.
According to the prosecution, Radcliffe entered into a relationship with a woman he met at the Salutation pub in Kinross during October 2022.
The relationship progressed, and Radcliffe began staying at her residence in Kinross on a regular basis, from November 1 until their separation on December 26, 2022.
Despite these frequent stays, Radcliffe failed to notify police of his residence at her home, a clear breach of his legal obligations.
The breach was uncovered after the woman reported concerns about Radcliffe’s behavior, leading authorities to trace him to a friend’s address on January 27, 2023.
Radcliffe was subsequently arrested and taken to Dundee police headquarters, where he was cautioned and formally charged.
During the court proceedings at Perth Sheriff Court, Sheriff Alison McKay expressed her concern over Radcliffe’s failure to inform police about his whereabouts, emphasizing the importance of such notifications for public protection.
She highlighted that Radcliffe’s omission appeared to be linked to his new relationship, which the woman involved was unaware of his previous convictions.
Radcliffe’s history of violence and predatory behavior is well-documented.
In 2014, he received an eight-year prison sentence after being convicted of two rapes, assault, and making threats against four women.
The court also noted that he had been previously acquitted of similar offenses in England.
Authorities have described Radcliffe as a man who targets women, gaining their trust through deception before turning violent and aggressive.
His release from prison was partial, and he was known to have confronted one of his rape victims in the street in 2019, threatening her with the words, “It’s not over.” This incident resulted in a two-year jail sentence for acting in a threatening manner.
During the latest hearing, Sheriff Alison McKay deferred sentencing to allow for background reports and expressed her concern about Radcliffe’s failure to disclose his living arrangements.
She underscored the importance of the notification requirements, stating that they are designed to protect the public.
Her comments reflected her serious view of Radcliffe’s actions, especially considering the context of his recent relationship and the potential risk posed by his non-compliance with legal obligations.
