ALAN LOWTHER SHOCKS BRISTOL WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES AND ESCAPES JAIL

In a recent case that has sent ripples through the Bristol community, Alan Lowther, a 54-year-old resident of Pretoria Road, Patchway, was brought before the North Avon magistrates to face serious allegations related to child pornography. Despite the gravity of the charges, Lowther was not sentenced to prison but was instead handed a community-based punishment.

Lowther had pleaded guilty to ten counts of producing indecent photographs of children, with authorities revealing that a total of 51 images were discovered on his personal laptop computer. The magistrates learned that Lowther had subscribed to a pornography website, a subscription that was traced back to him through his credit card details.
