2000: MAN JAILED FOR CHILD PORN ON NET
A man from Redditch, aged 64, has been sentenced to six months in prison after admitting to downloading and distributing child pornography online.Alan BrownPretended to be a father engaged in incest and even role-played as an abused daughter during online conversations with other offenders.Police seized pornographic images from Brown’s residence, according to prosecutor Nigel Reader.
Brown, residing on Stanley Close in Abbeydale, pleaded guilty to 20 counts of producing indecent pseudo-photographs and two counts of distribution.
He also requested that 110 similar offences be taken into account during sentencing.
Worcester Crown Court was informed that authorities carried out a raid at Brown’s home on August 24, uncovering chat logs and child abuse images on his computer equipment.

Reader explained that Brown received explicit images and exchanged them through private chats with individuals across the globe, including in America.
Police found both still images and videos stored on his devices, though Brown initially denied deriving sexual pleasure from viewing them.
A witness revealed that Brown admitted to impersonating a 14-year-old girl online because it made it easier to engage in perverted internet conversations.
Defense lawyer Jonathan Richards noted that Brown now acknowledged having child sexual fantasies and that his distribution of images was limited to a small group of like-minded individuals, without commercial motives.
Brown suffered a stroke three years prior and has diabetes.
He was described as a bachelor with no prior criminal record.
Judge Andrew Geddes told Brown that he personally examined the images and found them to be 'extremely obscene.' The judge warned that anyone tempted to partake in such activities should know that prison sentences are inevitable.
Brown was also ordered to have his £1,200 computer confiscated and to register as a sex offender for seven years.
