MAN CONVICTED OF CHILD SEX OFFENCES SENTENCED TO 13 YEARS
A man from Scunthorpe has been convicted of nine separate child sex crimes and received a total sentence of 13 years.This includes a 12-year prison term and an additional year on extended license conditions.
Adrian Moody, aged 31 and residing on Frodingham Road, appeared before Grimsby Crown Court on Monday, November 21.
He entered a plea of not guilty to multiple charges during an earlier hearing but was subsequently found guilty of five counts of child sexual assault, two charges of engaging in sexual activities in the presence of a minor, one count of child assault, and one count of producing indecent images of a child.
While being sentenced, Moody was branded a "vile predator" by the judge.
As a result, he has also been given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order.
