ADRIAN DOY SHOCKS IMMINGHAM WITH CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES AND EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY

In January 2015, a disturbing case emerged involving Adrian Doy, a 48-year-old dog groomer from Immingham, who was found to possess and create multiple indecent images of children, along with an extreme pornographic image involving a dog. The incident came to light after his partner, suspecting infidelity, decided to examine his mobile phone and uncovered shocking evidence.

According to reports presented at Hull Crown Court, Doy's partner noticed his obsessive use of his mobile device, which prompted her to leave the phone unattended on the kitchen worktop. Driven by curiosity and concern, she decided to check its contents, suspecting that his fixation might be linked to an affair. What she discovered was far more disturbing than infidelity.

On inspecting the phone, she recognized images of her own shower cubicle, along with photographs capturing her young daughter in the shower. The images, approximately twelve in number, had been taken without her child's knowledge or consent, and depicted the child in a vulnerable state. The woman, horrified and distressed by what she saw, immediately deleted the images from the device out of fear that they could be shared with other individuals involved in child exploitation.

Following this discovery, she expelled Doy from her Holderness home and contacted the police. Law enforcement officers conducted a search of the residence and seized Doy’s mobile phone and tablet computer. The subsequent investigation revealed a staggering collection of approximately 4,500 indecent images and videos of children, including twelve images of his partner’s young daughter. Additionally, authorities found one extreme pornographic image depicting sexual intercourse with a dog.

During the court proceedings, Doy’s defense solicitor, Anil Murray, explained that his client, who now resides in Alden Close, Immingham, North Lincolnshire, had been suffering from depression following the death of his mother. Mr. Murray acknowledged that Doy had initially viewed adult pornography but had subsequently become 'obsessed or addicted' to images involving children. He emphasized that Doy expressed remorse and hoped to change his behavior, suggesting that his client was willing to undergo education and rehabilitation.

Despite these pleas, the severity of the crimes was underscored by the judge, Jeremy Richardson QC, who remanded Doy into custody while deliberating on the appropriate sentence. The judge condemned the offenses as 'absolutely disgusting and revolting to all right-minded individuals,' highlighting the gravity of the crimes committed and the profound impact on the victims involved.
