November 2016 Wanstrow man told to expect jail after admitting possessing video and images of child abuse A paedophile from Wanstrow has been told he is likely to be sent straight to prison after he admitted being in possession of hundreds of photographs and videos of children being abused. Adrian Bryans from Wesley Close, appeared before his honour Judge David Ticehurst at Taunton Crown Court today (November 14). The 54-year-old admitted one charge of possessing Category A images, one charge of having Category B images and another of Category C images, all said to have been created between July 27 2015 and December 12 last year. Prosecuting, Caroline Bolt said the number of images and videos seized were in the ‘triple figures’. The hearing was adjourned so a pre-sentence report could be created, but the judge warned him: “The most likely outcome for you is that you will go sent to prison. You have written me a letter saying you do not deem yourself to be dangerous to children – but of course you are. “What on earth do you think is happening to the children who are being abused for your sexual gratification?” Bryans was released on bail after signing the sexual offenders’ register and ill next be before the court for sentencing on December 13.
