RAPIST JAILED AFTER BEING CAUGHT BY VICTIMÂS BITE MARK
Adhnon Marrtab, 24, targeted a 28-year-old woman who had just been discharged from hospital, approaching her shortly after she got off a bus at Golders Green station about 3.45am.He grabbed the victimâs phone and resisted her attempts to push him away, making sexually charged comments as he grabbed hold of the woman and raped her in a nearby churchyard.
The woman eventually managed to escape from Marrtabâs clutches by jumping over a fence and raising the alarm.
Met Police detectives found CCTV showing Marrtab using his Oyster card on a bus, linking him to the area at the time of the attack which happened on October 25 last year.
CCTV of Adhnon Marrtab shows him with a noticeable bite mark on his shoulder when he was booked into police custody.
He pleaded guilty to rape and sexual assault by penetration and was sentenced to nine years in prison at Harrow Crown Court on Friday.
Detective Constable Pat Leonte led the investigation, stated, 'This was an extremely challenging investigation and we went to great lengths to identify and reprimand Maartab,' thanks to the victimâs compelling evidence and the work of the wider investigation team, this dangerous man is now behind bars.
