ADAM AND TYMON STRAWSON FROM LITTLEPORT CAUGHT WITH THOUSANDS OF INDECENT IMAGES AND EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Littleport, two men, father and son Adam Strawson, aged 54, and Tymon Strawson, aged 35, were found to be involved in the possession and distribution of a vast array of illegal and highly disturbing images and videos involving children and extreme pornography.

The investigation began when authorities received credible information indicating that indecent images of children were being shared via a social media platform. The source of these illicit materials was traced back to an Internet Protocol (IP) address associated with a residence on Ely Road in Littleport. Acting swiftly on this intelligence, police officers executed a search warrant at the property on June 12, and what they uncovered was deeply troubling.

During the search, law enforcement officials seized numerous electronic devices, including mobile phones and computers, which were believed to contain illegal content. Both Adam and Tymon Strawson were present at the property when the officers arrived, and the search quickly turned up evidence of their involvement in the sharing and possession of illicit images.

According to reports, Tymon Strawson became visibly agitated during the search and expressed a desire to leave quickly to go to work. However, officers proceeded to search him and discovered a mobile phone that was later confirmed to contain indecent images of children. Further forensic analysis of Tymon’s devices revealed a disturbing collection of 530 indecent or prohibited images of children, along with 28 videos. Among these, 107 images and 24 videos were classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of illegal content.

Similarly, devices linked to Adam Strawson contained an even larger cache of illegal material. Investigators found a staggering 2,871 indecent or prohibited images of children and 11 videos on his devices. Of these, 280 images and two videos were classified as Category A. Additionally, law enforcement officials discovered 128 other extreme pornographic images, further highlighting the severity of the case.

Further investigations revealed that both men had used social media platforms to initiate inappropriate conversations with other users and to share indecent images of children, demonstrating a pattern of predatory behavior.

In court proceedings held at Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday, May 9, Adam Strawson pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including distributing indecent images of children, possessing a prohibited image of a child, possessing an extreme pornographic image involving an animal, and making indecent images of children on three separate occasions. The judge sentenced him to eight months in prison, but this sentence was suspended for 18 months. Additionally, Adam was placed under a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid community service.

Similarly, Tymon Strawson admitted to possessing a prohibited image of a child, making indecent images of children on three occasions, and distributing such images nine times. His case was also heard at the same court, where he received a sentence of 18 months in prison, suspended for two years. He was also subjected to a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.

This case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the distribution and possession of illegal and harmful content online, and it serves as a stark reminder of the serious consequences faced by those involved in such activities.
