ADAM LIDDELL FROM CARLISLE CAUGHT IN SHOCKING SEXUAL GROOMING CASE
Adam Liddell, aged 40, was ultimately identified and brought to justice through a combination of online investigative efforts and the victim’s own actions.The case, which unfolded in Carlisle, revealed disturbing details about his attempts to groom a young girl for sexual purposes.
The victim, a 12-year-old girl, was left deeply traumatized after Liddell’s efforts to manipulate her into a meeting, which he believed would lead to further sexual exploitation.
According to court proceedings at Carlisle Crown Court, Liddell’s identity was partly uncovered when one of the girl’s friends contacted the police.
This friend sent a message to Liddell, warning him that he was a paedophile and urging him to cease his inappropriate behavior.
This intervention prompted Liddell to report himself to the authorities, a move that ultimately led to his arrest and subsequent charges.
Liddell, who resides in Low Moorlands, Dalston, near Carlisle, faced multiple serious allegations.
He pleaded guilty to five charges, which included two counts of sexually communicating with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, causing a child to watch sexual acts, and possessing extreme pornography that featured bestiality.
These charges paint a disturbing picture of his criminal conduct and the severity of his actions.
The court heard how Liddell’s actions not only involved online communication but also extended to physical attempts at grooming, which left the young girl emotionally scarred.
