WARRINGTON MAN JAILED FOR SEXUALLY PREDATORY ONLINE CHATS WITH 'CHILD'
A PERVERT engaged in vile sex chats with someone he believed was a 14-year-old boy – but was later confronted at his home by paedophile hunters.Adam Gill pleaded guilty to charges of attempted sexual communications with a child and three counts of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity before Liverpool Crown Court in December.
This came after he told the ‘child’ that he was ‘sweet, sexy and hot’, and discussed what he would like to do with him sexually.
The 47-year-old was in fact communicating with an adult purporting to be a child to root out online child sex offenders.
Gill, of Glazebury, was due to be sentenced last month for his crimes, but the court ran out of time, and the sentencing was adjourned to this month.
The court heard that the offences were committed in November and involved a decoy account appearing to be that of a 14-year-old boy.
Gill engaged in sex chats with the ‘boy’, asking him what they would do in bed together and calling the boy ‘sweet’ and ‘sexy’.
He also said he loved the boy, asked what he was wearing and told him he looked ‘hot’.
Gill said that he wanted to ‘have fun’ with the child, that he ‘hoped to see his penis soon’, and that he wanted the boy to be his ‘boyfriend’.
The defendant, of Warrington Road, also admitted attempting to incite the boy to engage in sexual activity and tried to solicit naked photos from him.
Gill previously received a community order in February 2019 at Bolton Crown Court for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
He was jailed for his latest sexual offending by judge Stuart Driver, who handed him three years behind bars.
Gill was also ordered to sign the sex offender register for life and given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
