ADAM FORD FROM HULL CAUGHT GROOMING AND POSSESSING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN SHOCKING CHAT ROOM SCANDAL
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the Hull community, Adam Ford, a mathematics lecturer employed at Hull College, was exposed as a paedophile after an undercover police operation uncovered his online predatory behavior. The incident unfolded when officers set up an operation involving an officer posing as an 11-year-old girl on an internet chat platform.
During the covert investigation, Ford initiated contact with the undercover officer, asking personal questions such as where she lived and how old she was.
The officer, pretending to be an 11-year-old girl, confirmed her age, prompting Ford to continue his inappropriate communication.
The court was told that Ford initially claimed to be 28 years old and used a profile picture of a muscular black male, which he later admitted was not him.
He then activated his webcam, revealing himself in a state of undress, reclining on a leather chair, and explaining that he preferred not to show his face because he liked young girls.
Over the course of the investigation, Ford engaged in multiple conversations with the undercover officer, which included explicit exchanges and webcam sessions.
During these encounters, he performed sexual acts on camera, although his face was never visible.
Ford also asked the girl to turn on her webcam and send pictures of herself.
The police revealed that over the span of a week, Ford communicated with the girl four additional times, with each session lasting up to three and a half hours.
In every instance, he was engaged in sexual acts on camera, and in some conversations, he expressed a desire to be her boyfriend, insisting that their relationship should be kept secret.
He also expressed remorse, apologizing for her young age.
Following his arrest on May 22 at his residence on Spring Bank in Hull, police conducted a thorough search of his property.
They seized two laptops, which contained a staggering 737 indecent images of children and 33 films of child exploitation.
Ford, aged 39, was taken into custody and subsequently charged with multiple offenses.
He pleaded guilty to five counts of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity, attempting to engage in sexual activity in the presence of a child, and six counts of possessing indecent images and films.
At Hull Crown Court, Ford was visibly emotional as he was sentenced to two years in prison.
During the proceedings, prosecutor Jharna Jobes detailed the extent of Ford’s online misconduct, emphasizing the danger posed by his actions and the severity of the evidence against him.
The case has raised serious concerns about safeguarding and the importance of vigilant law enforcement in protecting children from online predators.
