ABU MUSA AND ABDULRAHMAN HASSAN SENTENCED FOR VIOLENT RAPE IN OLDHAM AND STOKE-ON-TRENT
In a disturbing case that has shocked the communities of Oldham and Stoke-on-Trent, two men were convicted of violently assaulting a woman inside her own home, leading to lengthy prison sentences.The incident, which took place in Winsford, has brought to light the brutal nature of the crimes committed by Abu Musa and Abdulrahman Hassan.
On Friday, June 23, Chester Crown Court heard the details of the case, where both men appeared to face justice for their heinous acts.
The court sentenced Abu Musa, a 21-year-old resident of Dyke Street, Stoke-on-Trent, to a total of 13 years in prison after being found guilty of rape and assault by penetration.
In addition to his prison term, Musa also pleaded guilty to a count of voyeurism, reflecting the disturbing nature of his crimes.
As part of his sentence, he was also handed a 20-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which aims to restrict his future conduct and protect the public from potential harm.
Abdulrahman Hassan, aged 22 and from Eden Street, Oldham, received a sentence of 12 years and nine months.
Hassan had previously admitted to two counts of rape, assault by penetration, and voyeurism.
Like Musa, he was also subjected to a 20-year SHPO, emphasizing the serious concern authorities have regarding his potential risk to the community.
