SWINDON MAN JAILED FOR HEINOUS HOME INVASION AND RAPE
A man has been sentenced after unlawfully entering a woman's residence by climbing through a window and subjecting her to a harrowing experience by raping her twice while her children were present in the property.Abdul Hamed, aged 35 and with no fixed abode, was convicted at Swindon Crown Court on Thursday, December 5.
The court was informed that Hamed, in the early hours of June 18, entered the victim's home—whom he knew—and committed sexual assault twice in front of her children.
The following day, police were alerted to the incident, and Hamed was swiftly detained.Despite pleading not guilty, a jury unanimously found Hamed guilty after a six-day trial.
He was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison.
