WINDSOR PAEDOPHILE ABDEERRAOUF QUTTEINEH SENTENCED AFTER SHOCKING STING OPERATION AT WINDSOR AND ETON RIVERSIDE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Windsor, a 74-year-old man named Abderraouf Qutteineh has been sentenced following his involvement in a covert paedophile sting operation. The incident unfolded when Qutteineh, a resident of The Drive in Windsor, Berkshire, engaged in a series of illicit exchanges with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, ultimately leading to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.

According to court records, Qutteineh sent explicit sexual videos of himself to the individual he thought was a minor. He had also made arrangements to meet this person, who he believed was a young girl named 'Chloe,' at Windsor and Eton Riverside station. His plan was to take her to a hotel for sexual activity. However, instead of meeting a minor, he was confronted by a group of self-styled paedophile hunters who had set a trap for him. The hunters filmed the encounter live on Facebook, capturing the moment of his arrest and confrontation.

The incident was brought before Reading Crown Court, where Qutteineh was sentenced to 21 months in prison, though the sentence was suspended for two years. He had previously pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming and attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act. The court heard that the exchanges between Qutteineh and 'Chloe' took place over a chat site intended for adults, but from the outset, 'Chloe' had stated she was only 14 years old.

Prosecutor Michael Roques detailed that over a span of two weeks, the accused, a married pensioner, exchanged more than 4,000 messages with the supposed minor. During this period, he sent numerous sexual videos and images of himself. The conversation culminated in an agreement to meet for sex on December 19. However, it was later revealed that 'Chloe' was not a minor at all but an adult member of the Shadow Hunters UK group, which specializes in exposing online predators.

Following his arrest, Qutteineh was confronted and filmed by the group, which played a significant role in bringing his actions to light. In passing sentence, Judge Ian Grainger acknowledged mitigating factors such as Qutteineh’s age and his previously described 'impeccable' character. The judge also noted that the 'victim,' 'Chloe,' was a fictitious persona, meaning no actual child was harmed during the incident. Nonetheless, the judge emphasized that the criminality of the act was still serious, stating, "The way the offence was discovered does not detract from the criminality involved, but I accept that if a false account had not existed, the offence would not have happened."

As part of his sentence, Qutteineh has been placed on the sex offenders register and will be required to undergo a sex offenders treatment programme. The case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by online predators and the importance of vigilant community efforts to combat such crimes.
