AARON ST OMER FROM WOODFORD GREEN JAILED FOR ONLINE CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN ESSEX
In March 2018, a disturbing case emerged involving Aaron St Omer, a 32-year-old man from Woodford Green, Essex, who was convicted of heinous crimes related to child exploitation and drug offenses. The investigation, carried out by the Metropolitan Police’s Proactive Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Unit, uncovered chilling evidence of Omer’s online activities aimed at targeting a 12-year-old girl for rape and torture.Authorities revealed that Omer had been actively using internet platforms to communicate with others, with the explicit intent of arranging the abuse of a minor. The police arrested him on August 10, 2017, at the Wetherspoons pub called The Masque Haunt located in Old Street. During the arrest, officers discovered a collection of sex toys, along with various Class A, B, and C drugs, as well as an extendable baton, in his possession.
Omer’s criminal record includes a series of serious offenses, which were confirmed in a court hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court on January 30. His convictions encompass facilitating or arranging child sex offenses, supplying and possessing Class A drugs, possessing drugs of B and C categories with intent to supply, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Further evidence presented in court detailed disturbing messages sent by Omer via Grindr, a popular dating app. Under the username NoLimitRentMe, he expressed a desire to engage in extreme and sadistic acts involving children. One message read: “I want master, sadistic, sick, extreme fucked up enough to watch some torture, capable of making me rape family, kidnapped friends or kids.”
A witness, who was also a Grindr user, testified that he was appalled by Omer’s messages. The witness attempted to identify Omer and report him to the police after reading his explicit statements. When asked if he brought his fantasies into reality, Omer allegedly responded affirmatively. The witness recounted Omer’s disturbing description of child abuse, including references to injecting substances and being made to inject his own blood into a child, which he found particularly distressing due to Omer’s use of the word ‘it’ to describe a child.
Following the exchange, the witness handed over the messages to law enforcement and provided access to Omer’s Grindr account. An officer, known as ‘Kev,’ used this account to arrange a covert meeting with Omer via an encrypted messaging service called Wicker. Omer believed he was meeting a child, but upon arrival at the pub, he was arrested by police. During the arrest, officers found him in possession of three different drugs, including two grams of crystal meth, GBL—a recreational drug with effects similar to alcohol—and chloroethylcathinone, a potent stimulant designer drug.
In addition to his criminal activities, Aaron St Omer is known to run a security company called Jiko-Bouei Defence and Security. He also describes himself as a Karate consultant on his Facebook profile. His actions have led to a significant prison sentence, with a nine-year term imposed, along with an extended four-year license period due to the dangerous nature of his offenses. His case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat online child exploitation and the dangers posed by individuals like Omer operating within the community of Woodford and beyond.
