A man from Downend, Aaron Gent, has been sentenced after being convicted of multiple offenses.

He was found guilty by a jury of two sexual assaults and was also convicted of stalking, causing criminal damage, and harassment.

Gent, 30 years old and of Maggs Close, admitted to some charges but was convicted of others.

Judge William Hart sentenced him to 20 months in prison.

Addressing Gent, the judge stated, "The offending indicates wholly inappropriate behaviour by you to both these women.

Women should not be expected to tolerate it.
