SPIRIT OF YOUTH JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB COACH JAILED FOR 15 YEARS FOR RAPING GIRLS UNDER 13
Aaron Clark, who formerly served as a coach for the Spirit of Youth Junior Football Club in Blackpool, received a prison sentence at Preston Crown Court today.
Clark, also working as a taxi driver in the area, was sentenced to 15 years behind bars, accompanied by an additional year of extended licence.
He admitted guilt to four charges of rape and five counts of sexual assault by penetration, all involving two girls under the age of 13.
The parents of children involved with the junior football club expressed their shock, claiming they were unaware of Clark’s disturbing and predatory behavior.
Clark’s crimes have caused outrage among the community, with many parents stating they had no suspicion of his misconduct before his sentencing.
One parent said: "We were all massively shocked when this came out.
We were absolutely clueless.
No one had any idea at all.
"We trusted he had a DBS check for his coaching role and for his job as a taxi driver.
"What happened would have never of crossed our minds."
