PETERBOROUGH MAN JAILED FOR POSSESSING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN

A 21-year-old man from Hampton Centre, Peterborough, named Zak Reeve, has been sentenced to 22 months in prison after a search uncovered hundreds of indecent images of children on his phone. Reeve was initially arrested in February in connection with a separate arson case, which was later dropped. During his detention, officers found numerous indecent images and videos of minors on his device, including more than 100 classified as the most serious Category A images. Further searches at his home turned up additional photographs stored on a laptop and a second mobile phone. The defendant pleaded guilty to two charges related to producing and sharing indecent images, and his sentence was handed down at Peterborough Crown Court. He was also subject to a sexual harm prevention order lasting ten years. Detective Constable Zip Lloyd commented, “We are glad that we were able to uncover Reeve’s offending and deliver justice. Our specialized officers work hard to monitor sex offenders and enforce compliance with their conditions. These orders are intended to protect victims and vulnerable groups, and we will take legal action if any conditions are breached.”
