WILLUM WEBSTER CAUGHT WITH CHILD ABUSE AND BESTIALITY VIDEOS IN EDINBURGH RAID
In June 2022, authorities in Edinburgh conducted a police raid that uncovered a disturbing collection of illegal and highly disturbing material in the possession of Willum Webster, a 31-year-old resident of the city. The operation was prompted by suspicions and led to the discovery of a significant amount of child abuse and bestiality content stored on his devices.
During the search, police officers seized a tablet and a mobile phone from Webster’s address in the Abbeyhill area of Edinburgh.
Subsequent analysis of these devices revealed a horrifying array of videos and images.
The tablet alone contained 14 movies classified as Category A, which is designated for the most severe and depraved material.
These videos depicted children aged between two and ten being subjected to sexual abuse and rape by adult men and women.
Witnesses and court reports described the children in these videos as being in “extreme distress,” highlighting the brutality and cruelty involved in these recordings.
In addition to the child abuse footage, the investigation uncovered material involving bestiality.
The content showed adult women engaged in sexual acts with animals such as horses and dogs, further emphasizing the depravity of the material Webster possessed.
The authorities found dozens of still images and nearly 30 videos in total, all of which contributed to the severity of the charges against him.
When questioned by police about the illegal content, Webster claimed ignorance, stating, “I don’t know how those got onto my tablet.” Despite his denial, the evidence was overwhelming.
The police report indicated that the material was stored over a period from December 15, 2020, to September 9 of the previous year, when the police executed the search warrant at his home.
Webster appeared before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on the Friday following the discovery.
He pleaded guilty to charges of possessing indecent images of children and “extreme” pornography involving both humans and animals.
Sheriff Robert Fife, after hearing the case, deferred sentencing until next month to allow for further reports and ordered Webster to be placed on the sex offenders register.
The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat such heinous crimes and protect vulnerable victims.
