SPECIAL CONSTABLE CHARGED WITH RAPE
A special police officer has been formally charged with rape and acts of coercive and controlling behaviour.William Towner, aged 26, is a special constable employed by Surrey Police and is scheduled to appear before Guildford Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
According to Surrey Police, he faces one charge of coercive and controlling behaviour and a separate charge of rape involving a female victim between the years 2016 and 2017.
Additionally, Towner is accused of one count of coercive and controlling behaviour and two counts of rape concerning a different female victim, covering the period from 2020 to 2022.
Surrey Police confirmed that Towner was taken into custody in September 2022.
