WILLIAM STUBBS AND SHOCKING SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
William Stubbs, aged 64, was at the center of a disturbing case involving multiple allegations of sexual misconduct in Nottinghamshire.Over a period spanning from April 2017 to December 2019, Stubbs allegedly used alcohol and money as tools to manipulate and lure his victim into compromising situations.
The victim was subjected to sexual assault on several occasions during this timeframe, raising serious concerns about the safety and well-being of individuals in the community.
The case came to a conclusion last month when Stubbs was found guilty after a trial held at Nottingham Crown Court.
The court convicted him on seven counts of sexual assault, reflecting the severity and repeated nature of his offenses.
Additionally, he was convicted on a further count related to causing or inciting sexual activity, indicating a pattern of predatory behavior.
William Stubbs, who was previously residing in Bircotes and more recently living at Portland Meadows, Retford, faced the court's judgment on September 29.
The judge sentenced him to four and a half years in prison, a punishment that underscores the gravity of his crimes.
Beyond his imprisonment, Stubbs was also subjected to a restraining order, which prohibits him from approaching or contacting the victim or other specified individuals.
Furthermore, as part of the court's measures to protect the community and prevent future offenses, Stubbs was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
This requirement ensures ongoing monitoring and public awareness of his status, reflecting the serious nature of his convictions and the potential risk he poses.
