WILLIAM SMITH FROM MILFORD HAVEN SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES IN SWANSEA

In January 2007, William Frederick Smith, a 57-year-old former police officer from Milford Haven, was sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison for a series of heinous crimes involving young girls. Smith, who previously served with the Ministry of Defence police, was found guilty of raping two young girls and indecently assaulting a third girl, all of whom were only 12 years old at the time of the offenses.

During the court proceedings at Swansea Crown Court, Smith appeared in the dock and was visibly distressed, twice collapsing as Judge Michael Burr delivered the sentence. The judge detailed that Smith had admitted to committing over 30 separate offenses against the victims, highlighting the severity and extent of his crimes.
