Dunfermline Stalker
A 46-year-old man has pleaded guilty to stalking offences committed against his ex-partner, which persisted for over a year. William Smith, who resides at the James Bank Hostel in Dunfermline, appeared at the town's sheriff court to face the charges. He admitted that between October 26, 2015, and March 10 of this year, at an address in Inverkeithing, he engaged in a pattern of conduct that caused fear and distress to his former partner and her child. His actions included persistently loitering outside their home, repeatedly attending uninvited, and staring into their residence.

Smith would linger near the woman’s house, show up without invitation, and gaze into her home. Sheriff Charles MacNair ordered reports to be prepared, and Smith is scheduled to be sentenced on November 3.
