ELDERLY NEIGHBOR JAILED FOR LEWD NOISES AND NEIGHBOR ABUSE
An elderly neighbour, William Seed, aged 84, was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison for making inappropriate noises towards a mother and her two children, during which he also called her 'easy knickers'.Seed had previously been issued a Total Ban Order (ASBO) in 2013 and had been jailed in 2015 for repeated breaches.
Despite this, he committed two additional breaches within a week of being given a suspended jail sentence for similar offenses, which aggravated his situation. He had previously thrown plastic milk bottles into a neighbor's garden and verbally abused him when confronted, further demonstrating his ongoing issues with neighbors.
The court heard that he admitted to these breaches at Blackburn Magistrates' Court.Seed’s behaviors have caused ongoing concern, and his recent actions have led to a further jail term.
Paul Huxley, presenting mitigation, argued that the dispute was largely over a driveway Seed claimed belonged to him, which did not justify his conduct.
