Mansfield Child Sexual Abuser
In a case that has shocked the local community, William Levick, a man in his late seventies, has been sentenced to five years in prison after admitting to serious sexual offenses involving a teenage girl. The incident took place in Nottinghamshire, with Levick, who was previously residing in Mansfield, now facing the consequences of his actions.

Levick, aged 78, appeared before Nottingham Crown Court last Wednesday, March 22, where he pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault and inappropriate touching of a 13-year-old girl. The court was informed that the offenses occurred over a period spanning from January 1 to February 4 of the same year. These disturbing revelations came to light after the young victim confided in the police on February 4, revealing that Levick had been abusing her since Christmas 2016.

The court proceedings detailed how Levick had maintained contact with the girl through numerous text messages and Facebook communications. The victim, in an effort to document the inappropriate exchanges, took screenshots of these messages and subsequently handed them over to Nottinghamshire Police. This evidence played a crucial role in the case, leading to Levick’s guilty plea and subsequent sentencing.

The case has raised concerns within the Mansfield and Nottingham communities, highlighting the importance of vigilance and the need for robust safeguarding measures to protect vulnerable young individuals from exploitation and abuse. Levick’s actions and the subsequent legal proceedings serve as a stark reminder of the ongoing fight against child abuse and the importance of reporting suspicious behavior to authorities.
