WILLIAM INGILIS SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN NUNEATON

A man identified as William Inglis has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 20 years after being convicted of serious child sexual offenses committed in Nuneaton. William Inglis, aged 44 and residing on Gilfil Road in Nuneaton, was found guilty of multiple counts related to sexual abuse that occurred more than five years prior to the victims coming forward. The case gained momentum after one victim, an 11-year-old girl, disclosed that she had been subjected to months of sexual abuse by Inglis. Following this initial report, a second victim came forward in February of the following year, revealing that she had been subjected to years of sexual abuse during her teenage years. These disclosures prompted a comprehensive investigation by Warwickshire Police officers, who meticulously compiled evidence against Inglis. William Inglis appeared before Warwick Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to several charges, including one count of sexual assault, two counts of assaulting a girl by touching, and three counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15. The court heard that Inglis’s actions were particularly egregious, and his crimes spanned a significant period of time.
