WILLIAM EVANS JAILED IN BRISTOL FOR OFFENDING IN SOMERSET
In February 2019, 22-year-old William Evans from Portland Place in Brent Knoll, Somerset, was sentenced to prison for contacting young boys to solicit intimate photographs.
Evans received a custodial term of three years and 11 months after using social media platforms to communicate with boys aged between 10 and 13.
Evans pleaded guilty to two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and also admitted to six charges of inciting the sexual exploitation of a child.
The sentencing took place at Bristol Crown Court on January 28.
The court was informed that between April 1 and July 31, 2017, Evans messaged a 13-year-old boy, requesting and receiving intimate photos.
Additionally, between January 1 and January 21, 2018, he engaged in a similar offence involving a 12-year-old child.
Along with his prison sentence, Evans was issued a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and was ordered to register as a sex offender.
