MIDLANDS RAPIST WILLIAM CHURCHILL JAILED FOR NINE YEARS
A Midlands man described as a 'vindictive and bullying' rapist proudly claimed he would have his own well-equipped cell in prison and expressed that he would enjoy his time there as he was sentenced for his heinous crime.William Churchill, residing on St Marys Road in Stoke, denied charges of rape, sexual assault, and false imprisonment.
During the court proceedings, he displayed a crowbar and a knife to his victim and made threatening gestures, implying he would kill her.
He warned her that she might disappear and nobody would find out.
Churchill carried out a sexual assault on the victim and issued threats, including miming a cut-throat gesture and waving a knife.
Despite having 42 past convictions spanning 93 offences, but no prior sexual offenses, Churchill defended his actions in court and confidently boasted about his incarceration preferences, saying: “I am not scared in the slightest.” He further commented: ‘Give me what you want.
I am in a single cell, category A, (I have) got.
It is just the injustice I can't handle.' Prosecutor Tom Kenning described the incident as extended, involving violence threats and a vulnerable victim.
Churchill was found guilty of rape and false imprisonment and received a nine-year sentence, with six years to be served in custody and the remainder on licence.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and was subject to an ongoing restraining order to keep him away from the victim.
Upon being incarcerated, Churchill proclaimed he would spend his time 'writing books' and added: “I will enjoy myself.”
