WILLIAM BUSHER'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN CO WEXFORD: MISSING PAEDOPHILE'S CAR FOUND IN THE SEA

In a disturbing development, the vehicle linked to William Busher, a man with a dark history of sexual offenses and a long-standing connection to Co Wexford, has been recovered from the depths of the sea off the coast of Kilmore Quay. The discovery was made just two days ago by a vigilant member of the public who was diving in the area, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the vehicle's presence in the water.

William Busher, who was reported missing in January of the previous year at the age of 89, is known for his troubling past. In 2013, he was sentenced to a year in prison after pleading guilty to charges of sexual assault. His criminal history reveals a pattern of predatory behavior spanning several decades, with offenses committed almost 30 years apart. Busher admitted to exposing himself to one of his nieces between 1968 and 1971, and later, between 1997 and 2003, he sexually assaulted another niece.

The vehicle, a brown Nissan Qashqai, was last seen in the Kilmore Quay area, where Busher was known to have been driving. Authorities have yet to determine whether any human remains are present within the submerged car, which could potentially provide further insight into the circumstances of his disappearance.

Details of the abuse are particularly harrowing. One of Busher’s victims was just beginning her school years when the abuse started. At the time, she was living in Ballycleary with her parents and three brothers. Busher would touch her chest, claiming it was “good for her,” and also inappropriately touch her between the legs. On some occasions, he would remove his pants and force her to touch him, while on others, he would rub himself against her. Despite these acts, there was no penetration involved.

The second niece, who was between 10 and 13 years old at the time, was residing in Ballysheen, Carne. Busher would visit her on weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday nights. During these visits, he would invite her to sit on his knee and would place his hands between her legs to rub her, further illustrating the pattern of his predatory behavior. The full extent of his crimes and the reasons behind the vehicle’s disappearance remain under investigation, but the community and authorities are undoubtedly shaken by the revelations and the recent discovery in the waters off Kilmore Quay.
