HILLINGDON MAN JAILED FOR HORRIFIC CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN PORTSMOUTH
A man from Hillingdon, William Brown, who is 48 years old, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple child sex offences at Portsmouth Crown Court.
Brown was investigated by Hampshire Constabulary following reports that he had groomed an 11-year-old boy in Portsmouth in September 2023 and abused a seven-year-old boy in Port Solent in 2020.
During the court proceedings, Brown admitted to the rape of a boy under 13, causing or inciting sexual activity with a boy under 13 on two occasions, assaulting a boy under 13 by touching on two occasions, and grooming.
Detective Sergeant Jo Smith of CAIT East praised the bravery of the young victims for speaking out and thanked them for their trust, which led to Brown's conviction.
She commended the investigating officer, DC Nick Park, and the team for their diligent work.
She also emphasized the ongoing commitment of the Child Abuse Investigation Team to safeguard children and bring offenders to justice.
