WILLIAM ALLAN SENTENCED IN FIFE FOR HORRIFIC CRIMES AGAINST FOUR WOMEN IN KIRKCALDY
William Allan, a man from Fife with a history of steroid abuse, has been handed a significant prison sentence after being found guilty of subjecting four women to a series of brutal and traumatic experiences over a span of more than a decade.The 36-year-old offender faced the court with a total of nine charges related to these incidents, which took place primarily in Kirkcaldy, a town within Fife.
During the proceedings, Allan admitted to all charges, which included the rape of three women.
His actions left lasting scars on his victims, some of whom described feeling dehumanized and worthless as a result of his assaults.
One victim recounted an unsettling encounter where Allan told her he 'had to get his frustration out somehow,' a statement that made her feel like a mere 'sex object.' Another victim expressed her feelings of despair, believing she deserved the abuse she endured, highlighting the profound psychological damage inflicted by Allan’s actions.
The assaults occurred over a period stretching from 2011 to 2023, with many of the incidents concentrated in the Kirkcaldy area.
The lengthy timeline underscores the persistence of Allan’s abusive behavior and the difficulty victims faced in seeking justice.
At the High Court in Glasgow, Lord Clark sentenced Allan to a total of eight years and three months in prison.
Upon his release, Allan will be subject to a two-year supervision order, during which he is strictly prohibited from approaching or contacting any of his victims.
The judge emphasized that the sentence could have been considerably longer—at least 11 years—had it not been for Allan’s guilty pleas.
Lord Clark also acknowledged the impact statements from the victims, describing them as illustrating the 'extremely distressing consequences of your crimes.' In his defense, Allan’s legal representatives attributed his conduct to substance abuse, specifically mentioning the use of street drugs, including steroids.
They expressed remorse on his behalf, with Allan himself stating that he is 'deeply sorry for what he has done.' Despite this, the court’s primary focus remained on the severity of his crimes and the lasting harm caused to his victims.
