WARREN SMART GAINESBOROUGH SEX OFFENDER SENTENCED TO SEVEN AND A HALF YEARS FOR 25-YEAR ABUSE SPREE
In a case that has sent shockwaves through the Gainsborough community, Warren Smart, a 43-year-old man from Florence Street, Gainsborough, has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison after admitting to a series of heinous sexual offenses committed over a span of more than two decades.Smart appeared before Lincoln Crown Court to face charges that included eight separate sexual offences against four young victims, whose ages ranged from just seven years old to 13 at the time of the abuse. The court heard that these offences took place over a lengthy period, beginning in 1985 and continuing until 2011, revealing a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior spanning 25 years.
