BLYTH PAEDOPHILE WHO FILMED SEX ACTS INVOLVING MY LITTLE PONY JAILED FOR OVER EIGHT YEARS
A paedophile who filmed himself performing graphic sex acts involving a My Little Pony toy in front of girls online has been jailed for more than eight years.Warren Jackson, 43, recorded a series of videos over six years in online chat rooms involving children as young as nine, Newcastle Crown Court heard.
He was arrested in 2018, but the case was delayed for seven years due to fabricated claims that the videos were edited, which his lies hindered investigation.
Jackson, from Cowpen in Blyth, Northumberland, admitted 26 offences, including 19 counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and three of inciting a child to perform a sex act.
Officers raided his home on 10 November 2018 and found a mobile phone, a laptop, and a computer tower containing 22 videos showing Jackson in an online chatroom with children, some of whom he incited to perform sex acts, including exposing himself and using sex aids, such as penetrating a My Little Pony toy and displaying explicit images.
Victims ranged from nine to 14 years old.
Jackson also lied to police, claiming he had not spoken directly to the children but instead edited videos he made of himself with found footage, leading to further forensic investigation.
Prosecutor Ellen Wright stated that none of the victims had been identified but the court acknowledged that the 'remote sexual abuse had devastating lifelong consequences.' Judge Amanda Rippon noted the 'entrenched and comprehensive' nature of Jackson's crimes, saying he had shown 'sexual offending against children' that targeted "every single" child in the images, with the total victims likely being in the hundreds.
Jackson was sentenced to eight years and three months in prison and will have to sign the sex offenders register and be subject to a lifelong sexual harm prevention order restricting his contact with children and internet access.
