Kincardine Domestic Abuser
Walter Wickens, a 40-year-old resident of Standalane in Kincardine, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face charges of breaching a non-harassment order. He admitted to the violation that took place on June 29 at Lomond Crescent, Dunfermline, where he approached and contacted his former partner, thus breaching the court’s restrictions. Sheriff Grant McCulloch expressed his disappointment, commenting, "He's breached his restriction of liberty order again. He's given an explanation, something about collecting keys." Wickens’s solicitor, Aime Allan, clarified that Wickens had gone to a friend's flat and was confronted when the friend's partner arrived, though he was aware he should have left the scene. The sheriff issued a stark warning to Wickens, stating that this was his "last chance saloon," and hinted that the next step might be jail time. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for August 31, with a review to be conducted on the Caledonian Programme for domestic offenders.
