NOTTINGHAMSHIRE MAN JAILED AFTER SENDING THREATENING VIDEOS AND MESSAGES TO COUPLE
A Nottinghamshire couple were left "scared and panicked" after a stalker sent them a "harrowing" video threatening them with a gun.Victor Unczur, of Derby Road in Long Eaton, used Facebook to send numerous messages to the victims - culminating in the video in which he made threats to their lives.
In the footage, sent on June 10, 2020, the 24-year-old can be seen holding a black and grey handgun before rotating the firearm towards the camera.
He then unclips and clips back on the gun magazine, which contained several gold-coloured bullets.
He had also threatened the victims over the telephone and made threats to "open them up", claiming that they had "just two weeks left" to spend with their family.
Unczur was subsequently arrested and charged with stalking and use of threatening or abusive words.
The threats made them fear for their lives.
In a statement to police the victim said the incidents made her scared and panicked that something bad would happen to them and had left her anxious to leave the house.
She said she had tried to block Unczur but he had always found ways to contact her and she had been left feeling "harassed and distressed".
Unczur admitted it was him in the video and pleaded guilty to the offences.
Police searched for the gun but no weapon was found.
It's believed the video was filmed some time before the offence was carried out.
He was jailed for 18 months on Wednesday (August 19) after appearing at Nottingham Crown Court.
He was also given a restraining order.
