In May 2014, Victor Hall, 56, from Yewtree End, Park Street, narrowly avoided prison after admitting to multiple charges related to indecent images of a child.

He pleaded guilty in St Albans Crown Court to 12 counts of producing indecent photos of a child, one count of possessing indecent images, one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child, and one count of possessing extreme pornographic material.

Last Friday, Hall was sentenced to a three-year community order, which includes a two-year supervision requirement. He was also instructed to participate in a sex offender treatment programme.

The court imposed restrictions on Hall’s interactions with minors; he is prohibited from voluntarily spending time with children under 16 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, and he is banned from working with children under 16 for three years.

Furthermore, Hall has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for five years and issued a five-year sexual offences prevention order.

In addition, he was ordered to pay a statutory victim surcharge of £60 and court costs amounting to £380.
