TYREEK NEILLY FROM BELFAST ESCAPES JAIL AFTER SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL
In a case that has shocked the Belfast community, 18-year-old Tyreek Neilly, a local barman from New Mossley, appeared before Belfast Crown Court to face serious allegations of sexual misconduct involving a minor. The charges against Neilly included two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault, all concerning a girl who was under the age of 16 at the time of the incidents.
According to court proceedings, the events took place in 2016 when Neilly reportedly met the 14-year-old victim.
It was alleged that he engaged in inappropriate and non-consensual acts, which the girl repeatedly expressed her desire for him to stop.
Despite her protests, the situation reportedly escalated, culminating in what the court described as oral rape, followed by full rape.
The victim’s testimony highlighted her distress and the ongoing trauma caused by the assault.
Neilly, during the court hearing, admitted to the sexual assault, acknowledging his involvement in the acts against the young girl.
His admission came amidst a case that has garnered significant attention due to the severity of the allegations and the impact on the victim.
Since the incident, the victim has reportedly endured further suffering, including several violent attacks.
These assaults are believed to have been motivated by Neilly’s spreading of rumours and falsehoods to friends, which purportedly painted a distorted picture of the events that transpired on the night of the assault.
In a decision that has sparked mixed reactions, the judge handed Neilly a two-year suspended sentence.
As part of his sentence, Neilly was also ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
The ruling has raised concerns among community members and advocates for victims, who feel that the punishment may not adequately reflect the gravity of the crimes committed.
