Hampton Vale Sexual Abuser
A man named Trevor Woodcock, aged 37 and living on Brickton Road in Hampton Vale, Peterborough, received a prison sentence of two years and three months after attempting to sext what he believed to be a 12-year-old girl. Starting in June last year, he engaged in conversations with whom he thought was a minor girl on Snapchat, during which he shared explicit images and videos of himself and encouraged her to engage in sexual acts. Authorities arrested him at his place of work, and a search of his mobile device uncovered evidence backing his misconduct. Woodcock admitted to charges including trying to cause or incite a girl under 13 to have sex, engaging in sexual communication with a child, and attempting to show sexual images to a minor under 13. The court handed down a sentence and imposed a 10-year order to prevent sexual harm. Detective Lisa Marston from Cambridgeshire Police stated that Woodcock genuinely believed he was communicating with a young girl, yet still sent sexual messages and explicit content. She added that she was glad he had been caught and highlighted that no children were affected by his actions.
