In November 2008, Trevor Hall, a 61-year-old former caravan park manager from Partlands Avenue, Ryde, was sentenced to eight years in prison for historic child sexual offences.
Hall was convicted at Portsmouth Crown Court following a trial in October, where he was found guilty on multiple counts, including two charges of indecent assault against a female, six counts of gross indecency with a child, five counts of rape, and one count of attempted rape. The offences occurred between 1980 and 1985.
During the sentencing, Judge Richard Hetherington stated that Hall had robbed his victim of her innocence. Additionally, Hall was ordered to register on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
