ROMFORD MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO PARTNER'S MURDER AFTER 13 YEARS
In a recent court case, a man has admitted to the murder of his partner, Carolyn Kemp, who had suffered a severe brain injury following an attack by Trevor Baker in Romford in November 2009.At that time, Carolyn Kemp was 34 years old and left with lasting brain damage after the assault.
Trevor Baker, aged 53, had earlier pleaded guilty to attempted murder in 2010 and was sentenced to a minimum of eight years in prison.
Carolyn Kemp eventually died in September 2022 due to the injuries inflicted during the attack.
The court was informed that Baker appeared via video link and pleaded guilty to a single murder charge.
Judge Sarah Munro KC warned him that he faces a mandatory life sentence, with a minimum term to be set at a future hearing scheduled for 16 May.
